So says Umesh Bisht, the creative director of the serial Kyunki Jeena Issi Ka Naam Hai on DD1. The serial is didactic in its approach.
It aims to create awareness about gender equality, child protection issues, maternal mortality, HIV, nutrition etc.
Bisht adds, “We are trying to put across life-saving messages with dramatic sequences portrayed by the five protagonists of the serial. We are catering to viewers of Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Orissa and different parts of the country.”
Fascinating
Actor Anupam Shyam, who is essaying the role of Gajendra, says, “I am playing a feudal character that has a great influence on the villagers.' He adds 'I accepted this role because negative characters fascinate me and this serial was the vision of Umesh Bisht.”He adds, “It is a complete package replete with drama and intrigue.”
Geeta Bisht, who is portraying the role of Shabnam in the soap, revealed, “I play the role of a girl next door who is very vivacious, strong and bold.
A common Indian woman can identify herself with this character. I have established an emotional bond with the character Shabnam. She will be a source of inspiration for girls who are facing domestic violence and discrimination.”

First Episode of Kyunki Jeena Issi Ka Naam Hai:
Kyunki Jeena Issi Ka Naam Hai begins with the worship of Durga Maa in Mangat’s house. His wife is again pregnant. On the other hand, Mangat is seen at Layer Maheshwari Babu’s residence where he is discussing with Vedant. He doesn’t want to talk Vedant about the case.
