Hello, I have a mac pro (not by choice) and an old School Dell running windows XP.
I also have a samsung extreme 16GB SD
and a ultra 64GB one too.
So. the mac dosent like my 1TB hard drive, nor the others I have (Big Surprise).
I was using windows before as its my proffered platform, so they (HDD's) are formated to what ever the common standerd is.
What Im trying to do is back up a bunch of stuff on the mac onto the 1TB HDD, by taking the SD card putting files from the mac on it, then inserting it into the camera and connecting the camera to the dell via USB (No SD Slot). THEN use the dell as a middel man to Load the files from the SD card onto the hard drive.
At first i had photos on the 16gb sd card and successfully transferred them to the hdd.
Next I placed non photo files of all sorts onto the SD which worked, but when I place them on the Dell it dosent detect anything.
Iv also tried the 64GB SD but it dosent detect anything at all.
I dont wish to reformat the hard drive as when I use it agin it will be on a windows PC.
Iv also had a go at creating a file shearing network between the two, but with no luck.
Do I need to update the software its using to read the card or something?
Note: The Dell dosent have internet connection.
